Objectives

The aim of this module is to equip display screen equipment (DSE) assessors with the knowledge and skills to carry out a basic DSE risk assessment

After completing this programme, trainees will be able to

  • describe the legislative requirements in relation to DSE risk assessment
  • identify the hazards and risks associated with a DSE user’s current workstation set-up
  • recommend control measures to reduce the risk of injury or ill-health associated with DSE use
  • complete a HSE DSE risk assessment
