Programme aim
The Clerical Administration Development Programme (CADP) recognises the valuable contribution of clerical officers and assistant staff officers working across the HSE.
This virtual programme aims to develop and enhance essential administration skills required to deliver a service user focused health service.
Learning objectives
At the end of this programme you will have a knowledge and appreciation of:
- team working and your preferred working style
- how you communicate effectively with service users and colleagues
- how to make the best use of your time
- creating your personal development plan
- participating positively in meetings and how to take minutes of a meeting*
- exploring personal resilience
- completing a service improvement initiative that will impact positively on your service
*Please note: the Minute Taking module in the Clerical Administration Development Programme is based on the content for the separate Minute Taking programme on offer from LLTM. Participants who enrol in the Clerical Administration Development Programme do not need to undertake an additional Minute Taking programme.
Duration
Three day virtual programme.
Targeted participants
Grade III and Grade IV clerical administration staff.
Programme requirements
This virtual programme is an interactive and participative programme. Participants will be engaging with each other and with the facilitator in discussion and in group work. You will need to be able to see and hear each other throughout the programme.
To facilitate the best learning experience for all participants, you should only sign up for a programme if you have a laptop or PC with a camera, audio and a reliable internet connection. Using a tablet or mobile phone is not recommended. These do not allow you to access all the functionality needed to participate in the programme.
CORU Continuous Professional Development
Upon completion of this programme, health and social care professionals registered with CORU can identify this programme as a suitable continuous professional development (CPD) activity for their role. CPD credits may then be allocated based on the new or enhanced learning associated with the activity.
