UL Hospitals Group Governance

UL Hospitals Group has an executive management team led by CEO, Professor Colette Cowan. Prof Cowan is accountable to the National Director of Acute Services within the HSE.

Our services are delivered across the 6 sites under the leadership of 4 clinical directorates namely: Medicine Directorate, Perioperative Directorate, Maternal & Child Health Directorate and Diagnostics Directorate. Each directorate is led by a team of staff bringing together clinical management and financial expertise to provide quality driven safe services, focused on the experience and outcomes for the patient. Their work is supported by the Operational Services Directorate.

Our Finance, eHealth, HR and Communications departments support the work of each of the 4 Directorates.

The 4 Clinical Directorates are:

Medicine Directorate

The Medicine Directorate is the largest directorate in UL Hospitals Group. It provides a wide range of specialities and sub specialities on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
