Mental health online supports
There are lots of online tools, guides and activities to help support and improve mental health. Research shows that, for some people, online tools can be as effective as face-to-face therapy (with a therapist for mild to moderate depression, anxiety and other mental health problems).
Some supports allow the user to work through a self-help course online with support from a therapist or trained supporter. Other supports include live therapy with a therapist using instant messaging.

The HSE has partnered with the SilverCloud® online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) platform to allow professionals to refer their patients and clients to access to an 8-week supported programme within 24 hours.
QUIT is a free, friendly and supportive group programme for men and women who smoke and who want support to quit smoking. The programme offers free stop smoking medications, a weekly stop smoking group and 1-to-1 support.
MyChild.ie provides a guide to pregnancy, baby, and toddler health. The site provides trusted information provided by experts, as well as access to expert lactation consultants via live chat or email.
