WLAP 2025 is the next phase in our multi-annual strategy for managing waiting lists. Developed with input from a diverse group of people across the health system, this action plan aims to increase capacity, enhance reforms, and support the development of scheduled care services to improve patient access to care.
Building on momentum from 2024, WLAP 2025 places significant focus on the patients waiting the longest for care and on reducing waiting times for all. It also aims to support the people across the country who are delivering the care and reforming the way we are doing thinks. One of the ways to do this is through the establishment of the Scheduled Care Network.
Ms. Sheila McGuinness, Director of Access, will introduce the National Waiting List Action Plan (WLAP) 2025, followed by presentations from Access on the WLAP 2025 and supporting workstreams, with time at the end for Q&A discussion.
