Event details
The HSE Children First National Office invites you to an interactive Child Safeguarding Themes and Questions and Answers Webinar. This is an opportunity to ask your questions about child safeguarding, gain valuable insights, and listen to our responses to common questions raised by others.
In order to attend staff must have completed the e-Learning programme ‘An Introduction to Children First’ within the previous three years and must have confirmed with their line manager that they can be released to attend this online webinar before applying.
Some frequently asked questions covered during the session include:
- Question 1: When does repeated non-attendance for an assessment or appointment become a child safeguarding concern?
- Question 2: Is there a difference between staff that are mandated persons and staff that are not mandated persons regarding the obligation to report child protection or welfare concerns?
- Question 3: The experience of children living with, and affected by, parental problem alcohol and other drug use has become widely known as Hidden Harm. Where can I find guidance or training about Hidden Harm?
