A second conference on Climate and Health to share and learn together.
Organised by the HSE Climate and Sustainability Programme, Climate and Health Alliance and HSE Spark Innovation
The conference will involve a number of profile speakers, showcasing the achievements and projects across the health service.
Inviting management and staff across the health service – national and regional, Climate and Health Alliance members, others
It will provide an opportunity to build rapport, network and foster relationships.
The online format will allow for interaction and participation.
Backdrop - Climate change is the biggest global health threat of the 21st century
Responding to this threat and ensuring this response delivers the health benefits available is the responsibility of the health profession; indeed, such a transformation will not be possible without it - Lancet Commission on Planetary Health. Given Ireland's exposure to volatile and insecure energy markets, there is an urgent need to transition to a lower-carbon and renewable energy system.
