HSE West staff only - changing a reporting relationship

HSE West staff only - incorrect approver or direct reports on HR and Payroll Self Service

It is important that the reporting relationships are correct on HR and Payroll Self Service.

If this is not corrected, leave and travel requests cannot be approved.

How do employees check if their approver on HR and Payroll Self Service is correct?

Employees can check if you have the correct approver for leave and travel requests on HR and Payroll Self Service as follows:

  1. Click the 'My Leave Request' tile
  2. Click 'Create Request'
  3. You will see the name of approver on the next screen

How do employees update the approver if the name is incorrect or the manager section is blank?

  1. Consult with your line manager and ask the manager to complete the Reporting Line Change form on your behalf.
  2. Manager will email the form to be actioned to omchanges.westgolive@hse.ie

How do managers check if direct reports are incorrect on HR and Payroll Self Service?

Managers can check the Team Calendar app or will see when reviewing leave or travel requests in My Inbox app on HR and Payroll Self Service.

How do managers update this?

  1. Manager will complete the Reporting Line Manger Change form
  2. Manager will email form to be actioned to omchanges.westgolive@hse.ie

What do I do if I receive leave or travel request from an employee who does not report to me?

Managers have the additional option on HR and Payroll Self Service to forward any incorrect items to the OM Administrator for HSE West.

  1. Select the incorrect request received within the manager inbox tile
  2. Select the 'Forward' option in the bottom right corner
  3. From the list type OM Admin
  4. Scroll down and select 'OM Admin West 1 70286827 Yvonne Cummins'
