Human Trafficking Training Programme

This training programme is available to HSE staff and staff from funded services.

Two modules are available:

Human Trafficking Awareness Training

The training aims to:

  • improve awareness of human trafficking in all its forms
  • provide information about the national and international policy and relevant legislation
  • explain what the HSE does under the new Third National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking and the revised National Referral Mechanism
  • explain how the HSE Anti-Human Trafficking Team helps victims

Human Trafficking Indicators Training

The training aims to:

  • improve awareness of human trafficking forms and indicators
  • show the different ways potential trafficking victims come into contact with healthcare services
  • provide guidance on how to engage with potential trafficking victims
  • review learnings through case studies

Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

0.5 CPD hours awarded to each module in accordance with NMBI guidance.
