This training programme is available to HSE staff and staff from funded services.
Two modules are available:
Human Trafficking Awareness Training
The training aims to:
- improve awareness of human trafficking in all its forms
- provide information about the national and international policy and relevant legislation
- explain what the HSE does under the new Third National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking and the revised National Referral Mechanism
- explain how the HSE Anti-Human Trafficking Team helps victims
Human Trafficking Indicators Training
The training aims to:
- improve awareness of human trafficking forms and indicators
- show the different ways potential trafficking victims come into contact with healthcare services
- provide guidance on how to engage with potential trafficking victims
- review learnings through case studies
Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
0.5 CPD hours awarded to each module in accordance with NMBI guidance.
