What is Spark Ignite?

Spark Ignite is an initiative designed to support frontline healthcare workers develop innovative products or services with clear commercial potential.

The competition, which is open to HSE and Section 38 funded staff, allows successful applicants to validate ideas, assess market potential, and receive the necessary support to bring them to life.

This competition demonstrates the entrepreneurial spirit of healthcare professionals and their ability to create impactful solutions.

Spark Ignite offers shortlisted applicants the opportunity to receive:

access to a bespoke healthcare entrepreneur skills workshop
expert input to refine solutions
funding of up to €5,000 for idea development
mentorship from leading healthcare entrepreneurs
networking opportunities within the healthcare innovation ecosystem
shortlisted applicants have the chance to pitch their ideas and solutions to be crowned our overall ‘Spark Ignite Winner’
