The Regional Centre for Nurse and Midwifery Education (RCNME) is bi-located on Connolly Hospital & St Ita’s Campus in Dublin North. The Centre provides education and training for nurses, healthcare assistants and other professionals grades in order to enhance patient care, service delivery and to promote professional and competence development of nursing and midwifery. Central to the provision of education and training is to enhance patient safety and quality of care reflecting the priorities of the Health Service.

The Centre of Children’s Nurse Education (CCNE) develops and delivers continuing education, training and professional development programmes.
Our programmes are open to all registered nurses, registered midwives, health and social care professionals and others caring for children with healthcare needs.
The programmes are delivered through the CCNE at Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght.

Centre for Learning and Development, St. James's Hospital
The centre integrates the educational and training needs of the Centre for Nurse Education with those of the Learning and Development Unit.
The centre provides:

- mandatory training
- personal or professional development programmes.
