As a new starter, you will get an employee set-up form from Recruitment or your line manager. You should complete this form and return it to your line manager.
Your line manager will forward your details to HR to set you up on the HR system, enabling you be paid through Payroll.
Registering your job with Revenue
Starting job in the HSE and previously worked in Ireland
You do not need to register your job with Revenue if you have previously worked in Ireland and are:
- joining or re-joining the HSE
- moving from one HSE area to another
The Payroll department will register your job through the payroll system.

You do not need to register your job with Revenue if you have previously worked in Ireland.
Starting job in the HSE and have not previously worked in Ireland
You will need to register your first employment in Ireland with Revenue at registering for myAccount (select the ‘update job and pension details’).
Before you can register your job with Revenue you will need your:
- Personal Public Service Number (PPSN)
- Employer’s Registered Number (ERN)
- start date of your employment
- employee number
