The Digital Health Learning Passport is a learning series designed to build your confidence and skills with digital tools.
Training details
Cybersecurity knowledge is essential, but preparing for a digital future also means understanding artificial intelligence, data, digital health, virtual care and how technology can improve workflows.
Through this passport, you will:
- learn how to recognise common cyber threats and scams
- learn core AI concepts and how they are used in the HSE
- understand digital clinical safety and how to assess risk
- build skills in finding and evaluating digital health information
- discover how telehealth can be used safely and effectively
- examine how data supports patient care and decision-making in healthcare
- understand how improving processes can support safer, more efficient care

Who should complete this training
The Digital Health Learning Passport is available to everyone working across HSE-funded and supported health and social care services. This includes HSE staff, partner organisations and contractors.
You get a certificate of completion for each module you finish. The more modules you complete, the more you’ll get out of it.
HSE Cyber Security Awareness Training is mandatory training for all HSE staff. It is only available to HSE staff and contractors. It is not available to other staff working across HSE-funded health and social care services. HSE staff and contractors who have already completed this training in 2026 do not need to complete it again this year.
