Employee networks

Employee networks, also known as Employee Resources Groups (ERGs), help create inclusive environments and build a sense of community.

Benefits of employee networks include:

  • support, visibility and a voice for staff
  • opportunity for staff to contribute personal stories and experience into HR policy and practice
  • assist with raising awareness on DEI issues to the wider workforce

Reach Out Network

The Reach Out Network connects LGBTQIA+ staff and their allies.

The network marked its official launch with the help of Panti Bliss.

Training

You can complete training on diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace on HSeLanD.

Training includes the Rainbow Badge initiative.

Rainbow Badge is a way for staff to show that their place of work offers open, non-judgemental and inclusive care for all identifying as LGBTQIA+.

You can get information about the Rainbow Badge initiative in the HSeLanD eLearning module 'LGBT+ Awareness and Inclusion training - the basics'.

Pride flags

The Pride flag comes in a variety of colors and shapes, each representing a specific group of people. The HSE Reach Out Network recommends displaying the Progress Pride flag.
