International Women's Day 2026

International Women's Day takes place on Sunday 8 March 2026.

On this day, we recognise the contributions of our female colleagues, who represent 79% of our HSE workforce. We also highlight the supports available for health and wellbeing at work.

Leave options

Learn about the leave options available to HSE staff and discuss what might work for you with your manager.

Blended working

The HSE Blended Working Policy supports eligible staff to work in a blended way. This means working some days on‑site and some days remotely. Your manager must agree the arrangement with you.

Menopause

The HSE Menopause Policy gives information about perimenopause and menopause. It also explains how managers and colleagues can support you.
